This email has been sent on behalf of the Citizenship, Humanitarian, Family Visa Programs & Support Division.

We are writing to advise that from 22 April 2026 applications for four permanent Parent visa subclasses will transition to online lodgement.

From this date, the following visa subclasses will be available for online applicationvia ImmiAccount:

If you are preparing to lodge a paper application for one of the above subclasses, you may wish to consider holding off and lodging online from 22 April 2026 where appropriate. This will allow you and your clients to take advantage of the benefits of online lodgement from the outset.

On 22 April 2026, the relevant Parent visa webpages will be updated with information for applicants on how to apply using ImmiAccount. This information will be available on the ‘Step by Step’ tab for each visa subclass.
