안녕하세요. 현재 호주 NSW 주정부는 COVID-19 의 발생으로 봉쇄 (lockdown) 한달째가 되어 갑니다. 오늘은 비자에 붙은 8501 비자 조건에 대해서 사보험을 가입하지 않아도 되는 경우를 설명드립니다. 비자중에서 예를들면 485, 491 와 같은 임시비자의 경우입니다. 8501 The holder must maintain adequate arrangements for health insurance while the holder is in Australia. 만약 비자소지자가 medicare를 소지할 수 있게 되는 경우 8501를 만족하기 위해서 medicare 면 충분합니다. 이런 경우는 Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) 라고 해서 사보험은 가입하지 않아도 됩니다. 이런 경우 사보험은 개인의 건강을 위해서 가입여부는 본인의 의사결정이고요. If applicants are required to provide evidence of their health insurance arrangement(s), the following may be considered as acceptable, unless a particular visa subclass instruction requires other specific information: a copy of the insurance policy a written letter or cover note from an acceptable insurance provider (refer to 3.4 Health Insurance providers), certifying that the primary visa applicant and any accompanying family members immediately upon visa grant or their arrival in Australia, are, or will be, covered by insurance that is at least as comprehensive as the prescribed adequate level of cover (refer to 3.3.3. Adequate level of cover) evidence that the visa applicant has lawfully enrolled with Medicare (refer to 3.4.2. Reciprocal Health Care Agreements and Medicare) evidence that the primary visa applicant and any accompanying family members immediately upon visa grant or their arrival in Australia, are, or will be, covered by health insurance that is at least as comprehensive as the adequate level of cover required under policy (refer to 3.3.3. Adequate level of cover), with the understanding that the applicants will either enrol with Medicare under a RHCA or enrol in a private insurance arrangement after arrival or for citizens from the Republic of Ireland, evidence that they hold an Irish passport (refer to 3.4.2.
