189 영주비자에는 크게 2가지 stream이 있습니다.

• Points-tested stream 라고 해서 일반적인 점수제입니다. (흔히 알고 있는 독립기술이민비자 스트림입니다)

• New Zealand stream 라고 해서 특별한 조건을 만족하는 NZ 시민권자들에게 주는 특권으로서  호주 영주권 189비자를 신청할 수 있습니다.

그 조건은 아래와 같습니다.

2016년 2월 19일 또는 그 이전에 호주에 정착하여 최소 5년간 계속 거주를 했다.

(1)  The applicant had been usually resident in Australia for a continuous period of at least 5 years immediately before the date of the application.

(2)  That continuous period of usual residence in Australia started on or before 19 February 2016.

그리고 비자 신청전 5년중에 4년간 일정한 세금신고한 수입이 있다. 세금 증명을 제출해야함

(1)  The applicant has provided copies of notices of assessment, and of any notices of amended assessments, given to the applicant by the Commissioner of Taxation, of the applicant’s income tax liability in relation to the 4 most recently completed income years before the date of the application (during the period of 5 years immediately before that date).

그런데 이 조건이 5년중에 3년으로 변경이 됩니다. 조금 수월해 지는 것이 되는 것이지요.

아래와 같습니다.

Subclass 189 NZ Stream – 3 in 5 years income threshold

Migration Amendment – F2021L00668 – – Subclass 189 Visas Regulations 2021 amends Reg 189.232(1) to substitute 3 income years for the previous 4 years that an applicant for an NZ stream Subclass 189 visa must have earned an amount no less than the income threshold, in the five years before the application was made.

A further subclause is added at Reg 189.232(1A) specifying that one of the income years must be the income year that ended most recently before the date of the application.

The income threshold for the last 5 financial years has been $53,900.

This Instrument commences on 1 July 2021.

즉 다시 말해서 비자를 신청하는 날이 만약에 2021년 7월 15일 이라고 할 때

2021년 7월 15일 부터 과거 5년 안에 (2016년 7월 16일부터)

년마다  Taxiable income (53,000불) 조건을 만족하는 회계년도가 세번이 될 경우

해당 조건을 만족하게 된다는 뜻입니다.

2021년 7월 1일 이전에는 4번의 회계년도를 만족해야 하는데

1회가 감소된 3번의 회계년도만 만족하면 된다는 뜻으로 조금 완화된 것입니다.

NZ (New Zealand) 에서 2016년 2월 19일 이전에 호주에 와서 정착하여 사시는 분들에게 희소식이 되겠습니다.
