금년회계년도 이민프로그램 계획수준 발표
The Migration program is designed to achieve a range of economic and social outcomes. The program is set annually, with the total places available capped at a ceiling of 160,000 for 2020-21.
(호주 경제 발전 및 사회에 득이 되도록 프로그램이 만들어짐; 매년 만들어지고 올해는 약 16만건)
다음과 같이 4가지 분야로 쿼타가 할당됨
- Skill – designed to improve the productive capacity of the economy and fill skill shortages in the labour market, including those in regional Australia. The majority of the places in the program are in the Skill stream (79,600 places in 2020-21, 50.7 per cent of the program). (대략 50% 이상이 기술분야에 할당)
- Family – is predominately made up of Partner visas, enabling Australians to reunite with family members from overseas, and provide them with pathways to citizenship (77,300 places in 2020-21, 49.2 per cent of the program). (파트너 비자에 거의 대부분 할당. 93%에 해당하고 전체 이민프로그램의 49.2%에 할당.
- Special Eligibility – this covers visas for those in special circumstances. This can include permanent residents returning to Australia after a period away, and is the smallest stream (100 places in 2020-21). (영주권자중에서 호주로 돌아오는 경우)
- At least 3,000 Child places will be available in 2020-21. (자녀비자에 약 3천명할당)

Program size and composition
The size and composition of the Migration program is set each year through the Australian Government’s Budget process. It is informed following broad public consultations with state and territory governments, business and community groups and the wider public. Community views, economic and labour force forecasts, international research, net overseas migration and economic and fiscal modelling are all taken into account when planning the program.
각 주마다 주정부스폰서쉽 비자를 위하여 할당되어질 것으로 전망하며
각 주마다 할당된 쿼타에 준하여 직업군별 쿼타를 또 할당할 것으로 예상함.
정리가 되면 각 주마다 구체적인 신청 자격조건 및 방법이 발표될 것으로 예측함.
