Today, Legal Training Australia hosted a seminar with NSW Government discussing the State Nomination Programme for 2020/2021.

As we are all aware, State Nomination is competitive process, with criteria changing based on the economic needs as well as ensuring that Australian Citizens and PR holders are offerded jobs in the first instance. (NSW 주의 경우 일자리는 일단 호주시민권자 와 영주권자에게 주어짐을 숙지해야 함)

The following update was provided by Zane Rebrojna in relation to NSW State Migration hosted together with Ross Ahmadzai from Legal Training Australia. (아래 내용은 NSW 주 이민프로그램 과 관련된 Zane Rebrojna 라는 분이 Legal Training Australia 에 근무하는 Ross Ahmadzai 대화한 내용임)

–        At this stage, the 132/188 visa programme remains closed, NSW is hopeful that both subclasses will re-open on 1 July 2020 however there is no guarantee in relation to the exact date or the number of places available as the final number of places allocated for next financial year will be determined by Home Affairs.  In most cases the numbers asked by NSW align with the numbers allocated by DHA which is good news, for this year however the programme allocation is exhausted

–        It is unlikely that there will be any major changes to 132/188 visa programmes, agents and applicants are encouraged to check the NSW website for further details

–        https://global.nsw.gov.au/ is the new initiatiative launched by NSW government.  For all the latest updates, agents and applicants are encouraged to visit this website

–        At present there are approximately 60,000 EOI lodged in the system for NSW.  NSW will continue to be very selective in terms of who is invited to apply.  Onshore applicants will be given priority.  Whilst the standard processing time is 12 weeks for NSW nomination, assuming all of the documents are in place, the nominations can be finalised much sooner (현재 NSW 주를 선택한 EOI는 대략 6만건. 그중에 호주내에 거주하고 있는 신청인에게 우선권이 주어 질 것임. 처리시간 12주. 모두 잘 준비된 서류는 이보다 짧게 처리될 수 있음)

–        Unfortunately there is no way to expedite an application on compelling or compassionate reasons (e.g. applicant’s current visa is due to expire), applicants will need to make arrangements to apply for another visa if applicable (불행히도 개인적인 사정이나 특이 사항을 고려해 줄 수 없음. 주석: 비자 만기로 인하여 초대를 받기 원한다가거나 하는 그런 어떤 혜택도 없다는 뜻)

–        NSW is hoping to open up the 491 visa shortly. The criteria are published on the website.  Due to NSW bushfires and COVID19, there have been some major pushbacks in relation to the 491 visa being rolled out in NSW.  This is being acknowledged and both agents and applicants are being asked to be patient during these times (it is likely that the programme will open up in the new financial year) (491 비자가 접수 오픈되길 바라고 있고 신청 자격은 홈페이지에 발표되어 있음. NSW주에 산불과 코로나바이러스로 인해 NSW주 지방과 관련된 491 비자가 오픈되는데 있어 큰 문제야기. 모두다 인내를 가지고 기다려 주길 바람. 새로운 회계년도에 491 비자 오픈될 것이라고 보여짐. 주석: 이 뜻은 2020년 6월 말까지 접수가 안될 것이라는 뜻으로 해석이 됨 ㅠ)

–        The NSW skilled occupation list will remain more or less the same, certain occupations may be added or removed as we continue to assess the damage caused by COVID19 (직업군은 이번 회계년도와 유사. 코로나바이러스로 영향을 받은 직업군이 추가 또는 빠질 가능성도 배제 못함)
