Skilled Visa eNews – Special edition March 2019 Migration Program ceiling for 2019-20 The Migration Program planning ceiling for 2019-20 is 160,000, with a continued focus on skills. More than two thirds of the Program is allocated to the Skilled stream, with a focus on categories that allow employers or states or territories to nominate skilled migrants. New skilled regional provisional visas (새로운 기술 지방 임시비자)There will be two new skilled regional provisional visas introduced in November 2019: (2019년 11월에 시행될 2가지 기술 지방 임시비자)
Under these new visas, migrants will be required to live and work in a regional area of Australia for at least three years before they are eligible to apply for permanent residence. (새로운 비자는 지방에 최소 3년 거주를 해야 영주비자 신청 자격이 주어짐)
These new regional visas will provide greater incentives for regional employers to nominate skilled workers, including priority processing of applications and access to additional skilled occupations. Based on current eligible skilled occupation lists: (이 비자는 지방 고용주에게 외국인 노동자를 고용할 수 있도록 하고 빠른 비자 처리가 가능하며 추가적인 기술직 직업군이 가능하게 됨)
Holders of the new skilled regional provisional visas will need to live and work in regional Australia. (이 비자를 받는 사람은 호주 지방에서 거주하며 일해야 하는 조건이 있음에 유의) Visas will be granted with a validity period of up to five years. (최대 5년짜리 임시비자를 받을 수 있음) The introduction of the two new regional visas will not impact people who already hold existing permanent skilled visas. (이 비자는 기존의 영주비자 소지자에게 영향 주지 않음) Applications lodged prior to November 2019 will continue to be processed as normal. (2019년 11월 이전에 신청된 경우, 즉 이 새로운 비자가 시행되기 전에 접수된 신청서는 이전 법에 따라 처리됨)

New permanent visa pathway (새로운 영주비자 받기) – 새로운 지방 임시비자를 받은 분들을 위해서 3년 후인 2022년 11월부터 유효하게 됨
A new permanent visa pathway, the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa, will also be available for holders of the new regional provisional visas in November 2022. This new permanent visa will provide further incentives for migrants to bring their skills to regional Australia and grow the Australian economy.
Definition of Regional Australia (호주 지방은 어디를 두고 하는 말인가?)2019년 11월에 모든 기술이민비자를 위한 호주 지방의 정의는 아래와 같이 단순화 한다. 즉 아래 명시한 도시를 제외하고는 모두 이민법상 호주지방으로 간주하게 됨. In November 2019, the definition of Regional Australia for all skilled visas will be simplified and expanded to include all of Australia except for the following metropolitan areas:

Areas within the new regional definition will have access to the two new skilled regional provisional visas, which enable migrants and employers to access a wider range of occupations as well as receiving priority processing. (새로운 비자를 통해 이민자와 고용주가 더 광범위한 직업군은 물론 빠른 비자처리를 기대해 볼 수 있겠습니다.)
