기왕 이면 (이미 호주에 와 있다면) / 이왕이면 (앞으로 호주에 올 거라면)  Northern Territory 주가 주는 혜택을 알아보고 선택 / 방향전환을 해 보자. 그 이유는 밑에 설명
(해당 내용은 GSM 비자인 489 / 190 에 신청을 위한 Nomination 에 관련된 내용입니다.)

Important information if you already live in Australia

Before applying for Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) Government nomination you must have:

• lived in the NT for at least six months
• worked in your skilled occupation or closely related field in the NT for at least six months.

There are variations to these rules in certain cases.

• International student graduates and holders of Skilled Graduate (Subclass 485) visas who have not completed at least two years of study at a college or university in the Northern Territory
• Northern Territory graduates who have successfully completed at least two years of study at a college or university in the Northern Territory
• Working Holiday (Subclass 417) and Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa holders
• Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) visa and Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482)
• Training visa (Subclass 407)

International student graduates and holders of Skilled Graduate (Subclass 485) visas who have not completed at least two years of study at a college or university in the Northern Territory

Conditions also apply to: (NT에서 공부하지 않은 유학생 + 현재 485 비자를 소지한 분)

• international student graduates
• former international student graduates who have completed their eligible studies at a college or university that is not in the Northern Territory (NT).

If you are in this group the NT Government will consider applications only when you have done all of the following:

• completed the course of study for which your student visa was granted
• lived in the NT for at least six months (NT 거주 조건 6개월)
• worked full time in the nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation for six months in the NT immediately before applying for NT nomination (NT 경력조건 6개월)
• been paid at the NT market rate for the skilled occupation in which you have been employed in the NT for six months (NT 급여조건)
• demonstrated a genuine intention to live and work in the NT for at least two years after your visa is granted. (2년동안 거주하며 일하겠다는 의지표시)

These students will generally only be considered for Subclass 489 visa nomination however, the NT Government will decide on applications for Subclass 190 nominations on a case-by-case basis. Exceptions may be considered.

Northern Territory graduates who have successfully completed at least two years of study at a college or university in the Northern Territory (NT에서 최소 2년 공부를 마치면 받는 최고의 혜택은?)

The Northern Territory (NT) Government will accept applications from eligible NT graduates.

You must have successfully completed the study course for which you received your student visa.

The study period must have been full-time and over at least two years at any NT college or university.

You must provide:

• a letter showing your commitment to the NT
• six months of bank statements showing transactions as evidence of living in the NT.

Evidence of financial capacity and research on the NT is not required as you already live in the NT. (2년간 살았기 때문에 재정능력이 얼마나 되는지 보여줄 필요 없다. 즉 관련 서류 제출 불필요)

Please note: NT international graduates, those who have qualified by studying for no less than two years at a college or university in the NT, can lodge a nomination for any of the skilled occupations on the Department of Home Affairs’ list of occupations eligible for the General Skilled Migration Program. (그리고 2년간 공부를 마친 NT출신 외국인 유학생들은 이민성에서 제공하는 어떤 직업군으로 기술이민을 하려고 해도 노미네이션 신청을 할 수 있다) 여기에 어떤 조건도 없다. 단 타스마니아 주와는 달리 2년간 반드시 공부를 마쳐야한다는 조건을 달고 있음에 유의. 타스마니아는 1년으로 489 비자 신청 자격을 얻을 수 있음.

Working Holiday (Subclass 417) and Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa holders

If you want to apply for nomination for any of these visas you need to:

• have had your visa for at least six months (워홀 6개월소지)
• have lived and worked full time in the Northern Territory (NT) in the nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation in the NT for at least six months immediately before applying for NT nomination (노미네이션을 위해 관련된 직업군으로 최소 6개월간 일함)
• have been paid at the NT market rate for your work in the occupation in which you are employed
• show ongoing employment prospects in the NT
• show a genuine intention to live and work in the NT for at least two years after your visa is granted.

Evidence of financial capacity and research on the NT are not required as you are already living in the NT. (재정능력 제출 불필요)

Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) visa and Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482)

To apply for Northern Territory (NT)  Government nomination, you must provide evidence that you have:

• lived in the NT for at least six months before applying for nomination (NT 거주조건 6개월)
• worked for a Subclass 457 or Subclass 482 sponsoring business in the NT for at least six months before applying – exceptions can apply (NT 경력조건 최소 6개월)
• support from your current Subclass 457 or Subclass 482 sponsoring business through a letter stating that they:

• support your visa application (회사의 지속적인 서포트 편지)
• understand that you will not be tied to their business once the Subclass 489 / Subclass 190 visa is granted.

The NT Government may contact your employer. There may be circumstances where the need for support from your current employer can be waived.

Training visa (Subclass 407)

The Training visa is for people who want to come to Australia on a temporary basis to take part in occupational training or professional development.

This visa covers three types of occupational training:

• workplace-based training required for registration
• structured workplace-based training to enhance skills in an eligible occupation
• training that promotes capacity building overseas.

For occupations marked with * on the list, where there is a mandatory licensing or registration requirement (marked with an asterisks and shaded rows in the table), the applicant will be required to demonstrate a level of English either sufficient to meet licensing / registration or a minimum IELTS 6.0 score in each band or equivalent, whichever is higher.

“Arresting population decline and boosting economy”

The strategy mentions research conducted by the Charles Darwin University’s Northern Institute which found five years is the tipping point after which new residents are most likely to remain long-term.

Forecasts show the Territory’s population is likely to fall by 0.7 per cent this financial year. (이번 회계연도에 0.7% 인구감소가 있을 것으로 예상하고 있음)

This population plan aims to arrest that decline and return growth to its historical average of 1.4 per cent. (이 인구계획은 인구감소를 막고 예전의 평균1.4%의 성장으로 돌아갈려고 하고 있습니다)

If this growth is achieved, Mr Gunner said it would add about 21,000 jobs and more than $10 billion to the economy over the next decade. (만약 이 성장이 달성되면, 향후 10년동안 2만1천개의 일자리 창출과 $10 billion 달러 이상의 경제 효과를 낳을 것으로 예측)

또한 연방정부와 함께 NT 에만 적용되는 Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA 2)를 협상할 것으로 알려지고 있습니다. 기술과 동력 부족을 경험하는 지역에서 NT 지역 고용주가 외국인 기술자 또는 준 기술자를 고용하도록 하기 위해서.

In addition, the Northern Territory Government will also negotiate a refreshed Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA II) with the Commonwealth Government to allow Territory employers to sponsor skilled and semi-skilled overseas workers in areas experiencing skill and labour shortages.
The Northern Territory wants more people to come and live up north and is offering cash incentives to families, couples and individuals willing to do so.

The government says it will invest $9.3 million to attract more people, including migrants, to the Territory with families being  offered more than $15,000 over five years to move to NT to work in “high priority jobs”.

This announcement is part of the Northern Territory Population Growth Strategy 2018-2028, where the government hopes to add 21,000 new jobs and $10.4 billion to the NT’s economy in the next decade.
