빅토리아 주정부의 경우 190 비자를 위한 노미네이션 받을 때

박사 학위를 가진 분은 특별이 우대합니다.

(참고로 그럼에도 불구하고 점수 60점을 만족해야 하는 것임에는 변함이 없음)

아래와 같이 PhD 졸업을 한 외국인의 경우 2가지 사항에 해당 가능합니다.

노미네이션 신청서 처리 시간도 2주로 짧고 (다른 신청서는 현재 처리 시간 12주 인데 반해)

Visa nomination for international PhD graduates

The Victorian Government offers a streamlined pathway to visa nomination for international PhD graduates. Applications will be processed within two weeks, compared to the average 12 week processing time. To be eligible, you will need either, a:

• completed PhD from a Victorian university:You may nominate any occupation that is eligible for the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s IMMI 17/072 Specification of Occupations and Assessing Authorities  (만약에 신청인이 빅토리아에 있는 대학에서 박사학위를 마친 경우는 190 비자를 위한 직업군 중에 어떤 것이든 상관이 없이 직업군 하나를 선택할 수 있음)

• completed PhD of a recognised standard (as determined by the relevant skill assessing authority) from an overseas university or an Australian university outside of Victoria:In a field relating to an occupation on the Visa Nomination Occupations List for Victoria in the past five years. (만약 신청인이 호주 교육기관에서 인정해 주는 해외 박사학위를 – 대부분 한국에서 이수한 박사학위는 인정이 됨 – 또는 빅토리아주 밖에 있는 호주 대학의 박사학위를 소지한 경우는 지난 과거 5년 안에 빅토리아 주정부에서 지명가능한 직업군 리스트의 하나에 관련이 있어야 함)

이와 같이 빅토리아 주에서 박사학위를 가진 경우는 보다 유리하게 처리됨을 볼 수 있고 그렇지 않더라도 박사학위가 있다면 일반 대학 / 대학원 졸업자 보다 추가 5점을 더 받으며 또한 이렇게 190 비자를 위한 노미네이션 받는데 유리할 수 있습니다.
