기술이민비자를 신청할 때 18세 또는 그 이상의 dependent 예를들어 배우자의 경우 Functional English 라고 하여 IELTS성적으로 볼 때 overall 4.5 성적이 필요합니다. 유효기간은 비자를 신청한 날부터 과거 12개월 또는 비자가 처리되는 중에 준비가 되면 됩니다. 따라서, 비자 신청전 12개월 이상이 되면 (즉 12개월 또는 그 이상이 되면) 유효한 성적이 되지 않음에 유의하십시오.

How can I prove I have functional English?
To prove that you have functional English you must provide evidence of one of the following: (다음 중에 하나 만족을 하면 되겠습니다.)
- You are the holder of a valid passport issued by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland and you are a citizen of that country. (5나라 중에 하나 여권을 가지고 있을 경우 면제)
- An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test result of an average band score of at least 4.5 based on the four test components of speaking, reading, listening and writing. Your test must have been completed within 12 months of visa application lodgement or can be completed during visa application processing.
- A Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based Test (TOEFL iBT) test result of a total band score of at least 32 based on the four test components of speaking, reading, writing and listening. Your test must have been completed within 12 months of visa application lodgement or can be completed during visa application processing.
- A Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic test result of an overall band score of at least 30 based on the four test components of speaking, reading, writing and listening. Your test must have been completed within 12 months of visa application lodgement or can be completed during visa application processing.
- A Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test result of an overall band score of at least 147 based on the four test components of speaking, reading, writing and listening and the test must have been taken on or after 1 January 2015. Your test must have been completed within 12 months of visa application lodgement or can be completed during visa application processing.
- A positive assessment by an Adult Migrant English Program service provider in Australia that you have functional English. (호주내 AMEP에서 제공하는 긍정적 평가 즉 FE수준이 됨을 말해주는 증빙서류가 있으면 면제)
- Completed all years of primary education and at least three years of secondary education in an educational institution in or outside Australia and all instructions were in English. (영어로 모든 초등학교 기간 + 최소 3년간 중고등학교 수업을 호주 / 호주외에서 받은 경우)
- Completed at least five years of secondary education in an institution in or outside Australia and all instructions were in English. (호주/호주외에서 최소 5년간 중고등학교수업을 영어로 받은 경우)
- Successfully completed at least one year of full-time study or equivalent part-time study towards a degree, higher degree, diploma, or associate diploma in an institution in Australia and all instructions were in English. (호주내 교육기간에서 학위를 위해 최소 1년간 full-time 또는 그에 준하는 파타임으로 공부한 경우)
- Completed a degree, a higher degree, a diploma or a trade certificate that required at least two years of full-time study or training in an institution in or outside Australia and all instructions were in English. (호주 내/외에서 최소 2년 full-time 공부 및 훈련을 위한 학위를 마친 경우)
주의) 간혹 혼동하는 것이 배우자 점수 (기술이민법상 배우자 점수를 받고자 할 경우는) 배우자도 기술심사 통과해야 하는 것은 물론 IELTS 6.0 x 4가 필요함에 유의하십시오. (경우에 따라서는 IELTS 7.0 x 4 for academic 성적이 필요할 수 있음에 또한 유의) 이 내용과 18세 또는 그 이상의 dependent (child or partner)가 동반비자로 신청되는 경우는 다릅니다. 후자는 다시 언급하지만 functional english 수준이라고 하여 IELTS 4.5 (과락인정) 성적이면 충분합니다. 혼동이 없어야 하겠습니다.
