After your visa application has been queued, we do not usually contact you again until the application is released from the queue. Once released from the queue, applications will be considered for final processing as a place in the Migration Programme becomes available. (Other family 비자를 신청후 queue에 들어가고 최종의사결정 단계가 아니면 이민성에서 연락하지 않습니다.)

At final processing, you must continue to meet the relevant criteria and satisfy any outstanding requirements for the visa application to be granted. These include health, character, assurance of support (for Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visas) and payment of the second instalment of the visa application charge. (CO가 할당되고 나서 신청서가 grant되기전에 신청한 비자를 위한 조건을 계속 만족하는지 여부를 의사결정하게 됩니다. 예를들어, 신체검사, 신원조회 및 보증 등이 거기에 해당하고 나중에 비자의 grant를 위해서 2차로 지불되어야 하는 비용을 지불요청받게 됩니다.)

Delays in final processing (최종의사결정에 있어 지연)

There was a significant reduction in the number of visa places made available by the government for Other Family visas in the 2013-14 programme year from 1285 to 585. (일단 other family visa의 quota가 2013년-14년 회계년도의 경우 1285건에서 585 건으로 줄어들었습니다.)

A large number of applications had already been released from the queue in 2012-13 but due to the reduction in visa places for the following year, in many cases final processing has not been able to progress. (2012-2013년도 회계년도에 queue에서 부터 많은 수의 other family 비자 신청서가 줄어들었지만 아직도 처리될 것이 많이 있다고 합니다.)

This delay in final processing remains for the 2016-17 programme year.

If you have been notified of being released from the queue, but your application has not been finalised, you will be contacted again by us only when final processing of your application can resume.

As at August 2016, final processing for Carer visa applications is currently progressing with a queue date up to 31 March 2014. For Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applications, final processing is progressing with a queue date up to 23 February 2011. (Remaining Relative 와 Aged Dependent Relative 비자의 경우 2011년 2월 23일까지 접수된 것을 처리 중이라고 하고 있습니다.)

This information will be updated only when final processing dates are extended.

Once the number of visa places that are available in the current year is reached, applications that have been queued and released for final processing, but are not yet finalised, will be considered for a place in a subsequent year.

Waiting times for Other Family visa applications are calculated each year and could vary due to a number of factors including: (아래의 내용이 매년 비자 처리시간을 산출하는데 사용되며 아래의 요소들에 의해서 처리시간이 변동 될 수 있겠습니다.)

• changes in planning levels (매년 바뀌는 것으로 계획 quota의 변경)
• number of visa lodgements, withdrawals and refusals (새로 신청하는 비자수, 취소 및 거절)
• Migration Review Tribunal remits (MRT를 통해 다시 검토할 신청서수)
• Ministerial Intervention cases (장관의 개입건수)
• processing directions. (처리 방향의 변경)

It is currently estimated that Carer visa applications that were lodged in 2016 and meet the criteria to be queued, are likely to take approximately four and a half years to be released for final processing (calculated from August 2016). (2016년 8월 부터 계산한 것으로 carer 비자의 경우는 처리시간이 대략 4.5년이 소요될 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.)

Based on current planning levels and the allocation of the majority of the Other Family places to the Carer visa category, it is currently estimated that Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applications that were lodged in 2014 and meet the criteria to be queued are likely to take approximately 50​ years to be released for final processing (calculated from 14 August 2014). (2014년 8월 14일 기준으로 이 당시에 접수된 Remaining Relative 와 Aged Dependent Relative 비자의 응시원서가 Queue 에 몇건인지, 그해의 해당 비자의 그란트된 수 등을 고려할 때 대략 50년이 걸린다고 예측했습니다.)
