호주에서 호주시민권을 포기하는 신청 (renouncing Australian citizenship applicaton) 을 할 경우
Form 128 Application for renunciation of Australian citizenship 를 작성하고 관련 서류를 제출해야 합니다.
시민권 포기 신청서가 승인 (approval)이 나면 호주내 있기 때문에 어떤 비자가 있어야 하는데
그 비자가 바로 'Ex-Citzen visa' 라는 비자입니다.
이 비자는 호주에 영주할 수 있는 비자입니다만
호주를 출입국을 자유롭게 하지는 못합니다.
따라서, 호주를 자유롭게 in & out 하고자 한다면 다른 비자가 있어야 하며
이때 RRV를 신청 가능한지 여부를 확인해 봐야 합니다.
그럼 호주 밖에서 신청하면 어떻게 되는가?
ex-citizen visa라는 것도 할당 되지 않습니다.
할당 될 필요가 없는 것이지요. 호주 밖에 있기 때문에.
If you are in Australia when your application is approved, you will automatically become the holder of an ex-citizen visa. No visa application is required.
An ex-citizen visa is a permanent resident visa. It does not allow re-entry into Australia if you choose to leave. If you plan to leave Australia and want to return, apply for a Return Resident visa before you leave.
처리시간은 이민성에서 조차 유효하지 않고 있어요.

If you are outside Australia when your application to renounce Australian citizenship is approved, and you wish to travel to Australia, you will need to apply for a visa that suits your circumstances.
