안녕하세요.
아마도 한국에 군대를 다녀오지 않아서 여권 연장이 어려운 상황인듯 합니다.
많은 한국출신 남자분들이 고민하는 것으로 저한테만도 많은 문의를 해 온 것이 사실입니다.
이것은 법을 그대로 적용하면 됩니다.
법은 이렇게 되어 있습니다.
189 비자법의 189.211(1)에 보면 4xxx 를 만족해야 한다고 명시되어 있습니다.
89.21 Common Criteria
Note: These criteria are for all applicants seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 189 visa.
189.211
Requirements for applicant
(1) The applicant satisfies public interest criteria 4001, 4002, 4003, 4004, 4020 and 4021.
(2) If the applicant had turned 18 at the time of application, the applicant satisfies public interest criterion 4019.
잘 보면 PIC 4021 이라는 것이 있습니다.
이것이 여권 관련하여 만족을 해야 한다는 뜻입니다.
무슨 뜻인고 깊이 들여다 보면?
아래와 같습니다.

Either:
(a) the applicant holds a valid passport that: (유효여권 소지해야 함)
(i) was issued to the applicant by an official source; and
(ii) is in the form issued by the official source; and
(iii) is not in a class of passports specified by the Minister in an instrument in writing for this clause; or 또는
(b) it would be unreasonable to require the applicant to hold a passport. 여권을 소지하는 것을 요구하는 것이 불합리 하지 않아야 한다는 조건
이 둘중에 하나를 만족해야 함.
만약 이 둘중에 하나를 만족하지 못한다면???
밑에 더 상세히 법으로 명시되어 있음.

About PIC 4021
PIC 4021 was inserted into the Regulations on 24 November 2012, replacing (as a Schedule 2 public interest criterion) the Schedule 2 “passport requirement” criterion that applied to many visas.
If an applicant cannot satisfy PIC 4021, they cannot be granted the visa. However, unlike most other PICs, PIC 4021 is not a Schedule 2 “one fails, all fail” criterion.
Among other things, PIC 4021 requires that the visa applicant’s passport not be in a class of passports specified by legislative instrument for 4021(a)(iii) purposes.
따라서 지금 알아본 세군데의 정보는 이런 법에 의존한 것이 아닌 듯 합니다.
6개월 이야기 전혀 없습니다.
없어도 된다는 이야기 전혀 없습니다.
있어도 되고 없어도 된다는 이야기 또한 전혀 없습니다.
그리고 분명히 명시되어 있습니다.
PIC 4021 를 만족하지 못하면 비자 그란트 되지 않을 것이다 라고.

이해했을 것으로 보여집니다.
그러면 나는 여권을 연장하지 못하는데????
어떻게 해야 하나.
그럼에도 불구하고 본인이 할 수 있는 것 다 하고
그리고 나서 이민성에 난 더이상 여권 연장이 불가함을 증빙하세요.
이 부분은 나중에 원하면 법에 근거하여 appeal 편지라도 써 줄 수 있음.
향후 몇 년 후 일이니 일단 공부부터 잘 마치시길...
지금 고민한다고 내 고민이 해결될 것이 전무함.
