The Fair Work Commission (the Commission) has announced:

• the National Minimum Wage will be increased to $882.80 per week or $23.23 per hour
• a 5.75% increase to minimum award wages.

(참고로 2022년 6월 15일 발표된 2022년도 회계년도는 5.2% 인상되었고 최저임금은 2022년 7월 1일 부터 주당 40불 5.2%에 해당하는 것으로 주당 최저임금은 812.60불 또는 시급 21.38 불이었습니다)

아래와 같이 2022년의 기준보다 5.75 % 인상된다고 합니다. 

National Minimum Wage increase

The National Minimum Wage applies to employees who aren’t covered by an award or registered agreement.

From 1 July 2023, the new National Minimum Wage will be $882.80 per week or $23.23 per hour.

The new National Minimum Wage will apply from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2023. This means if your weekly pay period starts on Monday, the new rates will apply from Monday, 3 July 2023. (2023년 7월 1일 부터 시행되지만 Weekly 임금을 받는 분들은 2023년 7월 3일 부터 새로운 임금비율로 받게 됨에 참고하세요)

Award minimum wage increase

Most employees are covered by an award. Awards are legal documents that outline minimum pay rates and conditions of employment in your industry or occupation. If you’re not sure which award applies to you, use Find my award.

The Commission has announced that minimum award wages will increase by 5.75%.

This increase will apply from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2023. This means if your weekly pay period starts on Monday, the new rates will apply from Monday, 3 July 2023.

호주에서 어떤 업종이든 최소한 작년대비 5.75%를 2023년 7월 3일 부터 적용받아야 합니다. 

Aged Care Sector 는 15% 임금인상이 있다고 하니 참고. (육체적으로 정신적으로 그리고 심적으로 힘든 일이라서 비선호하는 직업군이라고 보고 보다 많은 사람들이 종사할 수 있길 바라면서 정부에서 내 놓은 정책중에 하나임)

Aged care sector

Direct care and some senior food services employees in the aged care sector will receive a 15% wage increase from 30 June 2023.

연금도 기존에 10.5% 에서 11%로 인상된다고 합니다. 회사에서 제공하는 연금으로 이정도는 최소한 법으로 받아야 하는 최소 연금.

Superannuation

From 1 July 2023 the superannuation guarantee rate will increase from 10.5% to 11%.
