결론적으로 말씀드리면 부/모가 최소한 시민권자 / 영주권자의 경우

간난아이가 호주에서 영주비자인 자녀비자 (802)를 신청하면 의료보험 혜택을 받게 됩니다. 

If you’ve applied for permanent residency

You can enrol in Medicare if you live in Australia and have applied for either a permanent:

• residency visa, except for a parent visa (802 비자는 호주에서 신청하는 영주비자임)
• protection visa.

You must also have either a: (여기서 You 란 간난아이를 의미함)

• visa allowing you to work (간난아이의 임시비자인 ETA 비자에 당연히 work permission은 없겠죠)
• parent, spouse or child who is a n Australian citizen (호주 시민권자)
• parent, spouse or child who is a permanent resident (호주 영주권자)
• parent, spouse or child who is a New Zealand citizen living in Australia.

This includes if you’ve applied for a combined spouse visa 309/100 or 820/801. (파트너비자 신청하시는 분들도 해당이 됨 -> 이미 관련분들은 다들 아시겠습니다만)

You can enrol in Medicare from either:

• the date you applied for permanent residency (호주에 와서 820를 자녀가 신청하고 나면 medicare 신청가능)
• the date you arrived here to live if you applied outside Australia.

The date you apply for permanent residency may be different to the date you got your temporary 309 or 820 visa.

You don’t need to visit a service centre. You can mail or email your Medicare enrolment form and supporting documents to Medicare Enrolment Services. (Online으로 신청할 수 있음을 의미함; 방문하지 않아도 됩니다)
